THE LION AND THE MONKEY

From the top of the trees to the valley below
the word was spreading and I'm sure you know
that the Lion and the Monkey put out the call
to all the creatures come one and come all.
Bring your instruments or clap your hands
cause the Lion and the Monkey are starting a band.

Oh the bear he was there and he played the guitar
so he joined the band with the Lion on bass
and the Monkey on drums they set out across the land.
The Zebra sang off key so he just clapped his hands
and the Lion and the Monkey had started a band.


The Elephant played his mighty horn and the snake played
tambourine with the rhino on the xylo and giraffi singing
lead it was the craziest band you've ever seen.

Now they have lots of fun and play wherever they can.
